In the Awa Ai Room, four "Awa dyeing masters" representing Tokushima who convey the traditional technique to the present perform "Awa Odori" and "vortex". The theme-finished rooms are unique and full of design beauty. Even now, five indigo masters continue to make it while observing the traditional manufacturing method. Using this precious "Sukumo", it is dyed using a technique that has been handed down from the Edo period called "honai-zome by fermenting natural lye".
