During spring tides, you can see even larger whirlpools. * The best time to see the whirlpools changes every day. Please check the tide table on the observation boat website. * The observation boat dock is about 7 minutes by car or route bus from the hotel. Guests must travel to the dock on their own. * Refunds will not be given in the event of cancellation or if you are unable to board the boat due to personal reasons.     [Room type for children not allowed] From the middle of the Edo period to the Meiji era, the indigo of Tokushima is said to have covered the world with indigo along with the safflowers of Yamagata. In the Awa Ai Room, four "Awa dyeing masters" representing Tokushima who convey the traditional technique to the present perform "Awa Odori" and "vortex". The theme-finished rooms are unique and full of design beauty. [Cooperation / supervision] Tokushima Prefecture Tourism Policy Division, Awa Ai Charm Creation Project, Creative Tokushima Cooperative ~ Awa Ai ~ It refers to the natural indigo dye "Sukumo" made by fermenting the dried leaves of indigo, which is a plant of the Polygonaceae family cultivated in Tokushima. Even now, five indigo masters continue to make it while observing the traditional manufacturing method. Using this precious "Sukumo", it is dyed using a technique that has been handed down from the Edo period called "honai-zome by fermenting natural lye".
